Plot
Need a lawyer? He runs his law practice from his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. Moving around Los Angeles, he takes care of business while balancing his personal life, which includes fatherhood and the presence of two ex-wives. Originally set up with CBS for a 2020 series, it was canceled right before filming the first episode due to COVID.

Now it’s been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Heller’s second book, The Brass Verdict.. Mickey Heller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms. Personalized California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey’s license plates have at least eight.. This is an enjoyable first season of the show based on the Michael Connelly novels.
The viewer identifies with the ups and downs of Haller’s legal career
The tandem of David Kelly and Ted Humphrey successfully brings to the screen the harsh story of the clever defense lawyer Mickey Haller, his associates and family. But his passion for the law and sincere concern for his clients are impressive. The film is able to capture his deep humanity amidst his flaws. In addition to Haller, all other main characters relate to him: Cisco, Lorna, Maggie, Trevor Elliott, Haley and even Detective Griggs.
Let’s watch the second season
The plot lines are well thought out and quite interesting. The twists and turns attract the viewer’s attention as the drama unfolds. In particular, the way Haller manages to solve the magic bullet, linking one crime to another, and use it in court, is genius. Serious students studying criminal law and procedure will definitely appreciate the law and the free training it offers.
