Growing up in the Amazon rainforest has given Autumn the rarest of friendships: she discovers a lost jaguar cub named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknown New York City, she dreams for years of returning to the rainforest to be with her friend. At 14 and accustomed to city life, Autumn discovers that her childhood village is threatened by animal traffickers and decides to return to the Amazon to be with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to dissuade her from this unwise plan. Together with Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who want to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
