Decades after their 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament fight, middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence find themselves as martial arts rivals once again. During the original filming of The Karate Kid , the late director John G. The team behind Cobra Kai searched the studio vault and found a ton of never-before-seen clips, which they incorporated into the show via flashbacks. One of them is Zabka’s real mother, who appears in the stands from different angles that weren’t seen until 2018.

Many people believe that Miyagi’s name on his gravestone is a continuity error, considering that in The Karate Kid 4 (1994), his last name is listed as Keisuke, but it was actually previously listed on a sign held for him by Chozen in The Karate Kid 2 (1986) as Nariyoshi. This implies that it was The Next Karate Kid that changed its name, while Cobra Kai kept the name it had previously given. However, another interesting fact is that the name given in The Karate Kid Part II was not the original name given to Miyagi. French In The Karate Kid (1984), we can briefly see on Miyagi’s dog tags attached to the keys to the 1948 Ford that Daniel received for his birthday that Miyagi’s first name is Hideo.
I can’t believe how much I love Cobra Kai
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: Anthony Mackie/Ralph Macchio/Kira Shabazz (2018). At first I thought it was a cheesy kids show. It’s not true, any fan of the original trilogy will love it. The story is set 34 years after the events of the first movie and the 1984 All Valley Karate tournament.
He’s an absolute star that explodes here!
The story follows Johnny Lawrence (William Zavala), who has had a hard time getting his life back on track and opens the famous Cobra Kai dojo. This reignites his rivalry with the successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). I can’t say enough about how great Zabka is here. It’s a shame he didn’t become a bigger star over the years, because he showed that he could carry the series here.
I promise you’ll love it!
