Plot
A generational story about families and the special place they inhabit, sharing love, loss, laughter and life. It was first published as a comic strip in the comic magazine « Raw » in 1989, and in 2014 it was expanded into a 300-page graphic novel. The setting is Philadelphia, but the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs is shown hitting the same area. That asteroid landed on what is now the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico..

I don’t want to say it’s a bad movie
Hill. One thing in his favor is that he has a galley to follow. There are a few things that don’t work in its favor: Robin Wright’s forced laughs, shallow stories, false sequels, no real conclusions in interwoven stories. However, what is most concerning is the overuse of CGI to the point that it is almost an AI movie.
The bones are there: setups, single camera view, monologues
The opening sequence, the sharp focus of the characters close to the « camera », the artificial fire in the fireplace, how the far wall will disappear so that we can see the characters waving goodbye to each other. If AI feature films are in our immediate future, how long until our lives resemble Black Mirror’s ‘15,000,000 credits’? This would work well as a stage play told in linear order. After half an hour, I was glad to have watched movies for free.

However, you’d be best off waiting to see it for no extra charge on a streaming service. On the other hand, I feel the same way about Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, so…
