Lily Trevino, who has often worried about people like her father who should be taking care of her, longs for a family relationship after her mother abandoned her as a child, and then suddenly her father in her twenties. Bob Trevino works long hours alone at a construction company to help his wife Jeanie with her album business. The couple has endured much over the past decade, and Bob has tried to put his wife first to the point of ignoring his own feelings and needs for friendship, meaning, and connection – that is, until he receives an unexpected Facebook message from a stranger. Lily and Bob’s blossoming friendship becomes an important source of connection and healing in their lives. Bob’s small fatherly kindness fills the family void in Lily’s life and has the power to change its direction forever.
