I’m in the mood for flattery
Referenced in Close-Up: Why Do We Need the Venice Film Festival? (2024). This film is emotionally and movingly crafted, drawing me in from the first scene.
This film is definitely worth watching and will undoubtedly move you
Jolie’s performance is nothing short of exceptional and I firmly believe she deserves an Oscar nomination. Her performance is subtle and nuanced and she gives the best female performance I’ve seen all year. The set design is simply stunning and the acting is superb, even with the canine companions.
The scene in the rain is particularly cinematic and captures the essence of drama and emotion at its finest
I highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys opera or is simply looking for a provocative and emotionally resonant experience. It’s a great piece of storytelling that explores the final days of a diva’s life as she battles the monotony and longing for a past that can never be recovered. There’s no need to waste time endlessly scrolling – here’s the entire lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
