After the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, stages a show to take over the criminal underworld in Gotham. Aside from a Bat-signal in the season finale, we never got a glimpse of Robert Pattinson as The Penguin. In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where was Batman? Colin Farrell fought hard to get his own version of The Penguin’s Smoking Tobacco in The Batman (2022), but he failed. However, in his own series, the character is depicted as an occasional tobacco user, preferring cigars. The DC Studios logo is on a rainy Gotham alley. The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. The Graham Norton Show stars: Lady Gaga / Demi Moore / Colin Farrell / Richard Ayoade / Jack Savoretti (2024). The first episode is a direct sequel to Matt Reeves’s. Batman and I imagine those who haven’t seen the latter will be a bit lost. But I watched The Batman a while ago and this show did a great job of bringing me back to where the movie left off without getting bogged down in a didactic recap. It also does a great job of reviving the film’s aesthetic and gritty tone, although the series has a lot more sly moments than the film, and as with Batman, Colin Farrell does a great job of portraying The Penguin as the stereotypical mob « street guy. » " rude, dirty, vivacious and quick to commit violence; but also savvy, cunning and able to read people. The character may have nothing to do with the comic book version, but he’s interesting in his own right, I doubt the Penguin series will feature a teenager. and I don’t know if The Penguin’s machinations will be enough to last a whole season. But for now, it’s a great start.
